ArtShapers was a Sprung Dance Theatre (Northern Rivers NSW) 8-week pilot program delivered at the Tweed Regional Gallery (TRG) in mid 2024. The aim of the program was to facilitate artists moving and making within the context of the gallery and accessing the gallery as a generative resource in the making of new works.

Artists, their carers and support workers participated in weekly workshops that accessed the TRG collection and gallery spaces to inform responses facilitated by visual artist Chelsea Jewell and performance artist/ choreographer Geraldine Balcazar Cabrera. The outcomes of each workshop comprised of happenings and activations around the TRG campus using the site and collection to find new ways of shaping movement based works.
